VIP TERRACE
The VIP Terrace delivers sweeping views across the High Street and the iconic dreaming spires, offering a stylish blend of seated and standing space for up to 35 guests. At its heart is our striking Pod—fully opening in summer and providing cool, shaded comfort—perfect for hosting 12–15 guests.
Hire Fee: £250 Friday & Saturday (3Hr Hire)

MAIN TERRACE
The main terrace can accommodate up to 100 people (mixed seated/standing). A large area has retractable covers and heating in winter . Exclusive hire is available for 3 hours.
On Fridays bookings from 22:30 onwards may be considered.
Exclusive hire is NOT offered on Saturdays.

END TERRACE
With new weatherproof cover The End Terrace can accommodate up to 50 people (mixed seating and standing).

The Gallery an exclusive third-floor haven within the lounge, where refined cocktails meet a small dedicated space to dance, accommodating up to 40 seated guests.

Perched on the third floor, the Varsity Cocktail Lounge offers an upscale, luxurious setting for up to 150 guests and is exclusively available when reserving the Main Terrace or the entire venue—perfect for hosting unforgettable, elevated events.

The Club Floor offers an impressive 250-guest capacity, making it ideal for large-scale celebrations or elegant private balls. Full venue hire is also available, granting exclusive access to all floors.

Meetings & Conferences
The Varsity Club is a vibrant all-day, city-centre venue offering a range of versatile spaces for private hire. From intimate meetings of 15 in our Library to larger conferences of up to 45 guests in our Level 2 space, we cater to events of all sizes. Up-to-date AV equipment and a dedicated, experienced team ensure every event runs seamlessly.
Set in the heart of the city, TVC provides an inspiring backdrop for business occasions. Our Library and Level Two spaces blend style, character, and natural light, making them ideal for high-level meetings, team-building sessions, product launches, and creative workshops.
Conference starts from £150 per day with the use of projector.
Bookings Terms & Conditions
Hire fees and Minimum Spend
Payment of the deposit or hire fee confirms the venue hire booking
Payment of the hire fee balance and any outstanding prepayments have to be made no later than 2 weeks before the event date
For any bookings made within 2 weeks of the event date the hire fees and prepayments need to be paid in full at the time of booking.
All food and drink pre orders and orders on the day contribute towards the agreed minimum spend.
Please note: A service charge applies in addition to the minimum spend agreement.
Any outstanding minimum spend that has not been reached by the end of the event will be payable within 7 days of the event taking place.
Decorations and external contractors
We welcome external decorations to be brought into the venue to dress the space to your liking upon prior approval and agreement with the bookings coordinator.
Exceptions for this are confetti and confetti balloons which we do not allow.
Any items (including any transport and set up materials) need to be removed from the venue after your booking has ended or in some pre-arranged cases no later than 12pm the following day.
Terms of cancellation for private hire
Cancellation of a private hire booking is to be made directly with the venue via phone or email contact. The cancellation becomes effective upon confirmation via email from the Bookings Coordinator.
Refunds
A refund of the hire fee and any additional pre payments are subject to the following terms. It is at the discretion of the venue to vary these terms - for example if the event can be rescheduled for an alternative date.

cancellation more than 1 month in advance - 50% refund
cancellation more than 2 weeks in advance - 25% refund
cancellation less than 2 weeks in advance - no refund
